World Speed Motorsports: Championship Racing, Client Experiences + Corporate Partnerships Built Around Performance

By Paul Bryant Birdwell - paul@roaringforkagency.com - 415 730 - 4854

The Roaring Fork Agency — www.roaringforkagency.com — is working with World Speed Motorsports to develop corporate partnerships that connect companies with competitive racing, emerging drivers, engineering, and memorable experiences for customers and employees.

Based at Sonoma Raceway in Northern California’s Wine Country, World Speed offers companies an opportunity to build a partnership around the people, preparation, and technology behind professional motorsports.

For a sponsoring company, that can mean bringing important customers closer to the action, recognizing outstanding employees, developing compelling brand content, or supporting the next generation of racing talent.

A Racing Organization with More Than Three Decades of Experience

Since 1991, World Speed has developed drivers and competed across multiple generations of formula racing. Today, its Formula Pro USA F3 and F4 programs sit alongside the World Speed Academy and support for performance-car owners through the Turn 2 Drivers Club.

That combination brings together competitive racing, personalized coaching, technical expertise, and opportunities for enthusiasts to participate in the sport. Companies can explore a partnership with an organization whose work extends from a driver’s first training sessions to championship competition.

Competitive Momentum Heading into the Sonoma Finale

World Speed’s latest published race report, dated October 5, highlights a demanding but productive October 2–4 weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Erik Doan recovered from an opening-session accident to finish inside the top five on Saturday, then took second place and set the fastest race lap on Sunday. Scott Pyle earned a Saturday podium, Austin Tiller recorded top-five finishes on both days, and Yana Kapoor secured two second-place finishes in Women’s Racing Series competition.

According to that report, Doan stood second overall in F4 heading toward November’s Sonoma finale, with Tiller fourth and Pyle fifth. Kapoor stood second in WRS after earning five class victories during the season.

Those results give prospective partners a timely introduction to a team still competing for meaningful results as the 2026 season approaches its conclusion.

Helping Emerging Drivers Take the Next Step

Driver development provides another compelling foundation for corporate involvement.

In August, World Speed announced Yana Kapoor’s selection for the F1 Academy Rookie Test program, with a training camp in the United Kingdom and an on-track evaluation scheduled in Spain. Her selection illustrates the opportunities that can emerge as developing drivers gain experience and demonstrate their capabilities.

World Speed also continues to support the transition from karting to formula cars. Its announced award for the 2026 ROK Sonoma VLR Senior Triple Crown 2 champion includes a complimentary two-day World Speed Academy training program.

For companies interested in education, technical skills, mentorship, and access to opportunity, these development programs offer a practical starting point for discussing a partnership.

Put Customers + Employees Closer to the Experience

RFA sees a particularly strong opportunity in building World Speed partnerships around relationships.

A race weekend or visit to a professional racing operation can create time and conversation that are difficult to reproduce in a conventional business setting. Customers can learn how a team prepares, meet the people responsible for performance, and see the coordination required when decisions must be made quickly.

Depending on the program developed with World Speed, potential activations could include:

  • Trackside hospitality for customers, dealers, distributors, or business partners.

  • Employee recognition events and team experiences.

  • Race-shop visits and conversations with drivers and technical personnel.

  • Behind-the-scenes content connecting racing with a company’s products or expertise.

  • Selected driver-training or driving experiences.

  • Business networking built around a shared interest in motorsports.

Each program would be developed around the company’s objectives, with activities, access, timing, and participation requirements agreed with World Speed.

The World Speed Academy Adds Another Dimension

The World Speed Academy creates an additional avenue for exploring participation and engagement.

Its published 2026 program welcomes beginners as well as experienced racers, with instruction focused on vehicle dynamics, braking, and racing fundamentals. The announced schedule includes a November 15–16 session following the October program.

Companies interested in incorporating Academy experiences into a partnership can discuss suitable formats and current availability with RFA and World Speed.

Build the Partnership Around the Business Objective

The starting question is straightforward: What does your company want this partnership to accomplish?

For an automotive or industrial company, the focus might be product storytelling, dealer relationships, or customer engagement. For a technology business, it could be engineering, data, teamwork, or executive hospitality. A consumer brand might prioritize content, promotions, or distinctive experiences.

Potential partnership elements can include race-car branding, driver and team involvement, digital content, hospitality, employee programs, and customized activations. The final combination should give the sponsoring company a clear purpose for participating and a practical plan for using the partnership.

RFA would work with the company and World Speed to define the objectives, select appropriate opportunities, and establish how results will be evaluated.
